Meghan Trainor cancels Jingle Ball appearance
The show will not go on for Meghan Trainor.
On Thursday, the “No” singer announced she would be canceling her performance at Z100’s Jingle Ball concert, which was set for Friday night at Madison Square Garden.
“I posted last week that I wasn’t feeling great, but was powering through the best I could. Unfortunately, I am not feeling any better and after leaving the doctor today, I have been put on a strict vocal rest for the next two weeks,” Trainor shared on Instagram.
“This absolutely kills me because I was so excited to see all of you one the road. I’m going to go home and rest so I can get back to see you all as soon as I can,” she continued.
Trainor, 22, underwent vocal cord surgery last September, after canceling her tour in July 2015. She last performed at the Now! 99.7 Triple Ho Show in San Jose, Calif. on Dec. 3.
Despite Trainor’s absence, the Jingle Ball lineup remains with Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Ellie Goulding, among others, scheduled to perform.
