WBMX Hot Mix Classics »
From the house music capital in Chicago, IL. Where house music was born and the Hot Mix 5 brought it to Chicago and [enabled it to become the mainstream force it has become] on the legendary 102.7 FM WBMX. Classic house jams heard in the mixes from the legends who have their own street sign in Chicago at Balbo & Columbus as well as their own individual signs in the areas in which they grew up. Kenny Jammin’ Jason sign is on the corner of Logan Blvd and Kedzie ave. on Chicago’s Northside. Mickey Mixin’ Oliver, Farley Jackmaster Funk, Scott Smokin’ Silz, Ralphi The Razz Rosario all have signs but are not yet displayed on a city street. Bad Boy Bill, Steve Silk Hurley, and Julian Jumpin Perez and more. All the mixes, all the songs that make this channel a history lesson in house music. NOTE: Mixes are not available for download.
